Early Intervention Family Law Solicitor, Lismore

 

The Northern Rivers Community Legal Centre (NRCLC) is seeking to recruit to the role of Early Intervention Family Law Solicitor based in Lismore. The scope of our family law assistance to clients is of an early-intervention nature and is provided in a non-adversarial and child focussed way.

 

NRCLC is a not-for- profit, non-government organisation operating from a social justice perspective.  Our target client groups are those for whom access to justice is not equitable, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, women experiencing domestic and family violence and people with disabilities.

 

Permanent role 21 hours per week.

 

The position is banded from SCHADS Award Grade 5 to Grade 6 with a salary range of ($81,554 to $94,240 pro-rata, plus leave loading (dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience), plus superannuation and leave loading and access to PBI Salary Packaging.

The Northern Rivers Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service (NRWDVCAS) is auspiced by the Northern Rivers Community Legal Centre (NRCLC) and provides court support and advocacy to women experiencing family and domestic violence through the Tweed/Bryon and Richmond Local Coordination Points (LCP) as well as facilitating Safety Action Meetings in the Tweed/Byron and Richmond Local Area Commands.

The NRCLC is seeking to recruit to the following positions.

 

Assistant Manager

Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Worker - Aboriginal

Safety Action Meeting Coordinator Richmond

Safety Action Meeting Coordinator Tweed/Byron

 

All positions are permanent at 35 hours per week.

 

The Service has an exemption under s 31 of the Anti- Discrimination Act 1977 to employ women in this role.

 

Salary will be paid in accordance with the SCHADS award plus leave-loading, super and PBI salary packaging.  NRCLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

If you are interested in volunteering at Northern Rivers Community Legal Centre, we encourage you to contact the centre to express interest. All volunteer recruitment is subject to NRCLC resources and capacity.

The Legal Service welcomes volunteers as Practical Legal Training students, clinical legal placement students from Southern Cross University, and earlier year law students as general administrative volunteers.

Tenants Advice and Advocacy Service have specific requirements for volunteers and may take on volunteers on a case-by-case basis.
